Mark 1:1 is only twelve words long, but those twelve words carry the weight of everything Christians believe about hope, salvation, and the identity of Jesus. Mark was written for people who fail, who doubt, and who keep missing the point, and it shows a Jesus who keeps walking alongside them anyway. The word gospel means good news, not good advice. It is an event in history that changes everything. Jesus is the fulfillment of centuries of expectation, arriving as prophet, priest, and king all at once. He is not derived from God. He is God, taking on flesh. In a world where so much feels uncertain, He is the one hope that is both authentic and transformational.
